The TBDBITL Scholarship Fund Helps OSU Band Members Reach Their Goals

OSU Band Member.
TBDBITL Scholarship Fund helps Marching Band students realize their dreams, regardless of financial circumstances, and rewards them for their countless hours of dedication to the University and TBDBITL.

Over the last century, The Ohio State University Marching Band has become one of the most esteemed collegiate traditions in the country and has earned its moniker: "The Best Damn Band In The Land." Students of all ranks join the band, with majors ranging from Art to Zoology. New candidates and returning veterans alike arrive on campus nearly a month before classes start to go through rigorous tryouts. These high standards are maintained throughout the season with weekly music checks, uniform inspections, and challenges, ensuring they remain The Best Damn Band In The Land!

Just as our academic and athletic programs compete with other schools across the country for the brightest and most talented students, so too does the band. The TBDBITL Scholarship can make the difference in prospective marching band students selecting The Ohio State University. It can also open the door for students who might not otherwise be able to afford college. Flugelhorn Player George Farris says, "Being a member of the marching band is a phenomenal experience that would not be possible without receiving scholarship support. Thanks to the generosity of donors, I am living one of my biggest dreams-marching with The Best Damn Band In The Land."

Donors to the TBDBITL Scholarship Fund receive a range of benefits as well. These include: a framed photograph of the marching band student(s) you are supporting; an invitation to an annual donor event featuring a "Behind the Scenes" tour of the Steinbrenner Band Center; two complimentary tickets to the annual OSUMB concert; and President's Club recognition and benefits. And even more rewarding, donors will be playing an important role in the shaping of the future of TBDBITL and The Ohio State University as well as making a direct impact on a student's life.
