May 2009: Awards
Chadwick Allen, English, was awarded a Research Enhancement Grant from the Colleges of Arts and Humanities.Alan B. Farmer and Henri Cole, English, were given Faculty Recognition awards by the Order of Omega "for their dedication to the academic success of students at The Ohio State University." May 6, 2009.
Harvey J. Graff, English, was a Faculty Honoree at the President's Salute to Undergraduate Academic Achievement on April 30, 2009
John N. King, English, has been selected for a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship, his project being "The Reformation of the Book, 1450-1650."
Koritha Mitchell, English, was elected co-chair of the 2010 Ford Foundation Fellows conference planning committee. Professor Mitchell was also offered one of ten 2009-10 postdoctoral fellowships from AAUW, the American Association of University Women.
Claire Robertson, Women's Studies, History, has been nominated for Vice-President of the African Studies Association, the largest association of Africanists in the world.
Heather Webb, French and Italian, has been awarded a Visiting Fellowship for Michaelmas Term 2009 at the Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities at the University of Cambridge.
Elizabeth Weiser, English, received a $4,000 Scholarly Activities Grant from the Newark Professional Standards Committee for "Who Do We Say We Are: National Identification in National Museums."
