The 'Studio'
This Studio offers several media services to the faculty, staff, and graduate students of the College of Humanities. All digital media services are offered free-of-charge for teaching, research, and administrative projects. However, we do not provide media such as blank tapes or recordable C.D.'s. Also, please read our duplication policy prior to requesting services.Drop-Off Services

Media Duplication
- 1-to-1 copies of CD-ROM, audio CD, DVD, VHS, video CD, and audio cassette.
- 'Self-serve' duplication available for larger requests.

Image Scanning
- From photos, slides, brochures, and posters.
- File formats: jpg, tiff, png, gif, psd, pdf.
- Delivery methods: Media manager, email, CD, DVD, FTP.

Text Scanning
- We can scan documents, pages from books, newsletters, and most other text items in English.
- File formats: doc, pdf.
- Delivery methods: Humanities network account, CD, email.

American/Foreign VHS/DVD Conversions
- Foreign (PAL, SECAM) to American VHS (NTSC).
- NTSC to PAL, SECAM.
- Foreign DVD to American DVD (region 1).

Audio Digitizing
- We can take almost any audio source and digitize it for playback in the classroom, the car, an ipod and more.
- File formats: mp3, aiff, wav, streaming.
- Delivery methods: Audio cassette, DAT, audio CD, CD-ROM, DVD, media manager, Humanities network account, Humanities web streaming.

Video Digitizing
- We can take just about any video source and prepare it for computer, web, or DVD playback.
- File formats: MPEG, DVD, MOV, AVI, and streaming.
- Delivery methods: CD-ROM, DVD, media manager, Humanities network account, Humanities web streaming.
Professional Services

Studio Audio Recording
- Self-serve or Producer-assisted professional recording for narrations, dialog, etc.

Professional Video Production
- On-location video production, lighting, scene set-up, audio, and talent direction.
- Digital video editing and graphics.

Studio Digital Photography
- Professional portraits, objects/artifacts, over-sized artwork, object VR.

Web Delivery
- Audio and video streaming, image storage and delivery via Humanities media manager.

Everything Else
- Project planning and brainstorming, technology consultation, recording, editing, audio/video mastering, media optimized for web/DVD/CD delivery.
Equipment Check-Out

A/V Equipment
- Portable audio recorders, digital still cameras [PDF], and digital video cameras [PDF] may be borrowed from the Studio.
- Studio workstations and the sound-recording booth can also be reserved for multimedia projects.
